About the Candidate

Meet Ted Wentz

As a business owner, distributor, car guy and second generation CEO of a family owned business, I understand the challenges we are all facing during this unprecedented time

About Ted Wentz

I am the CEO of Quadratec, one of the largest and most well-known off-road parts and accessories retailers/distributors. I am responsible for the entire organization, including its strategic direction, earnings growth, and the strength of its brand.

Prior to my current role, I was the President/CEO of FireCraft, Inc., a retailer/distributor of outdoor cooking equipment. Earlier in my career, I worked for Toyota Motor Sales’ Marketing Department, and gained valuable experience on the OEM side of business. While serving our nation at the Department of Homeland Security, I learned the strategies and tactics needed to be successful on Capitol Hill’s complex battleground.

Background in the Public and Private Sector

  • Education

I hold an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan Flagler Business School with concentrations in marketing and entrepreneurship.

  • Public Sector

As a representative of the Department of Homeland Security, I worked closely with the Department of Transportation on a variety of automotive security and cross-border initiatives.

  • Pandemic Awareness

I also led a team preparing the TSA for pandemic influenza using a multi-media awareness campaign for 50,000+ employees and facilitated a Department of Homeland Security Working Group.

  • Private Sector

After business school, I followed my entrepreneurial passion and founded FireCraft, a retailer and distributor of outdoor cooking equipment.

  • Quadratec

As the CEO of Quadratec, one of the largest off-road parts and accessories retailers/distributors, I am responsible for the entire organization—including its strategic direction, earnings growth, and the strength of its brand.
